Agency Owner
Lindel Smith
After graduating from Indiana University – Bloomington in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Informatics, Lindel began his career as a Material Damage Adjuster, processing property and casualty claims across all lines of insurance. Watching families navigate the claims process underinsured and unprepared inspired him to take a different approach to insurance.
In June 2020, he opened Blue River Insurance Group with a commitment to education, transparency, and genuine advocacy for clients. Lindel believes an informed client is a protected client — and he takes pride in making sure every person who walks through the door leaves understanding exactly what they're covered for.
Outside of work, Lindel is a die-hard St. Louis Blues hockey fan. He grew up in Shelbyville and currently lives in New Palestine, IN with his wife, son, and daughter.

Olivia Smith
Olivia brings an exceptional blend of business acumen and relationship expertise to Blue River Insurance Group. In addition to her role here, she is a full-time mom and a licensed mortgage loan officer — giving her a unique perspective on the financial decisions families and business owners face every day.
With a passion for forging meaningful connections and identifying new opportunities, Olivia leads Blue River's strategic growth initiatives. She excels at creating new relationships while nurturing existing ones — seamlessly and with genuine care.
